May 20 – Statement from the directors…

In these unprecedented times, we would like to firstly thank all of the NHS frontline workers, key workers and other essential workers for the fantastic job they are doing in keeping this country going and people safe, we applaud you for everything you are doing. Our thoughts are also with the many families that have lost loved ones during this very difficult time.

Our business like many others is our livelihoods, our passion and our future. We feel the hardship, pain and suffering that many business owners are currently going through, including many companies in the manufacturing industry where we know first-hand that many Food and Beverage manufacturers are finding these times very difficult.

We want to inform you that as a critical supplier to the manufacturing industry, we are here to help you in any way we can, whether it be maintenance support, critical parts or capital equipment. We as a business took immediate action when the warning signs began to appear as to ensure we could be there for you when you need us the most. One of the first steps was to ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees, ensuring all of our staff have the necessary PPE and hygiene sanitisers available to them. In addition to this, we continuously monitor our staff for signs of infection of any kind, as we understand the importance of ensuring strict guidelines when working with others. Secondly, we have split the company into two teams, with alternate days working from home and the office, again we want to ensure the wellbeing of our staff, our customers and also to ensure we can maintain to help you during these times.

The virus has certainly had an impact on us as with many other businesses, however our strength and resilience is what continues to get us through it. Since we started the business with nothing but two laptops and a small home office in 2008, we have faced so many difficult challenges along the years and although this is the most difficult one yet, we will get to the other side and be stronger than ever before. We are very fortunate that we have been able to continue trading and have been able to support our customers, many other companies have been less fortunate and we hope they can also get through this situation. With many years of hard work, our company is in a strong position and we will continue to ensure we can assist our customers, as we always have done.

We recognise above all that the strength of our team has been amazing from the outset and we would like to thank them all for their understanding, hard work and determination throughout this period. We have seen a 20% growth in our business year on year and we see this year as being no different. It is clear that this situation is not going to go away for some time, but we will continue to adapt and be flexible in our approach to ensure the future success of the company.

Whatever happens after the lockdown, we can be sure that this great country will bounce back one way or another, and we wish you all future success.

Ray lilley, Adam Chambers
